YESSSS! Restaurant.com $25 gift certificates for only $2!!!

I took massive advantage of this when they were doing the $25 gift certificates for $1, but I *suppose* I can pony up another buck for some more awesome deals!

Just go to Restaurant.com and put gift certificates in your cart.  (Remember to check the rules under each restaurant... for example, you might have to spend $35 to use the $25 gift certificate... which basically means you will be spending $12 for a $35 meal... awesome!)  Then use coupon code TREATS at checkout and it will take 80% off.

You can also get 15% for college if you shop through Upromise, but if you don't use that site, just go here to take advantage of this awesome deal!

HEALTH! Difference in food dyes here and in the UK! Why?

I found this nice little gem today regarding food dyes.  As we know, artficial food dyes are no good for us, especially kids.  If it has the name of a color and a number, e.g., Yellow 5 or Red 3, it's bad.  The UK and many other countries have banned these types of dyes in their foods.  If companies are already making natural dye products for other countries, WHY are they still using artificial dyes in foods they produce for the United States?  See this link for more info and a direct comparison of a product that I'm sure many of us have eaten.  Annoying.

COOL TOOL! Excellent flu symptom checker!

Just GO HERE for the flu symptom checker!

About H1N1 (Swine Flu) Response Center:

H1N1 (Swine flu) Response Center is an online service that helps people learn whether they have the symptoms of H1N1 flu (swine flu) and gives guidance about next steps.

The self-assessment questions and guidance were developed by experts at Emory University, based on their research. The Web site was created by Microsoft.

The site aims to help people make informed decisions about seeking access to medical care when they’re sick with flu symptoms. By effectively "triaging" potential flu cases online, patients, health care providers, and the public can help limit their exposure to the flu virus as well as wait times for health care services.

H1N1 INFO! Get educated on the differences in the 4 vaccines...

H1N1... here is some info for you.  We had a great discussion going over on another FB page.  Leave your comments... Will you be getting your kids the H1N1 vaccine?

Here's a link to all of the ingredient listings. There are 4 different vaccines from 4 different companies. What is in it depends on which vaccine you get. You should be able to ask your doc or the clinic you go to which vaccine they are using. The important things to look for that are questionable are the adjuvant (squaline) and thimerosal.

And here is a simpler explanation of the differences between the 4 vaccines...

TARGET: Super-coup alert!

Hey, did you know that you can use a manufacturer's coupon AND a store coupon on the same item at Target?

You know how there are coupons in the Sunday ads that have the Target logo on them?  I never cut them out before, but I will now!  You also can print coupons from the Target Web site.

Use these in combo (true couponers call this "stacking") with regular manufacturer's coupons, and BAM! you've got a super-coup!

Stretching a Buck puts together an amazing list of deals each week... here are the ones for Target this week if you want to see some great examples of how coupon stacking works.

Here's Target's official policy on coupons, so don't let them tell you they don't do it!  :-)
